Today I turn 35 years old! In some ways it feels strange since I never feel that different year to year (outside of the fact that I can’t stay up late like I used to) but in most ways it feels so right. I love getting older. Every year is a chance to learn about myself and the world around me. To hopefully grow in love, in wisdom and in hope. It’s such a privilege to be alive and I want to keep this in mind as I make choices daily to love and honor the life and the body I have been given. Tonight I’m blessed to have a dear friend make me dinner but I’ll be back at it the rest of the week. Cheers to another trip around the sun!
TUESDAY: Shrimp Tacos With Watermelon Radish & Jicama Slaw
Because I need to make some Tacos again! I’ve been slacking!
WEDNESDAY: Ginger Scallion Pork Lettuce Wraps with Mango & Cucumber
This recipe comes from The New Food Collective website using their pastured raised pork sausages found at Whole Foods Market.
THURSDAY: Asian Chicken Noodle Soup
This soup looks super easy to make and it’s packed with so much flavor! Zucchini Noodles are a great way to get in more veggies but you could also add rice noodles as well.
FRIDAY: Sprialized Mushroom Turnip Risotto With Dijon Honey Salmon
A little something fancy for Friday! And I love Ali’s creative recipes using veggies are the rice. You can also leave out the parm to keep it dairy free.
It’s the final days of Whole30! I hope you are feeling awesome, inspired, energized and ready to make some more long term changes to your health. This is my fourth round and in a lot of ways I eat this way majority of the time as you know by now. What I love about the program is it empowers you to find out how your individual body responds to different food. Over the years I found that I can handle small amounts of dairy and very little gluten. I can also eat corn in some forms i.e. tortillas but fresh corn really bothers me. These little changes have made a big difference in how I feel overall and I’m thankful for programs like the Whole30 for getting me more in tune with my body. With that said I will be going back to corn and cassava tortillas after this week and a glass or two of wine which are really the things I miss the most but I know in moderation I can handle well. Cheers to your health!
See you in the kitchen!

This month has flown by! My radiator finally turned on this week and the leaves are really starting to change everywhere. I’ve gathered a new week of inspiration that I hope you will enjoy as well.
I’ll see you in the kitchen!
MONDAY: Harissa Chicken with Sweet Potatoes
> Another awesome looking recipe from Feasting At Home blog! Sheet pan dinners are the best!
TACO TUESDAY: Thai Shrimp Tacos
> These look so so good! If you want to keep it Paleo use cassava four tortillas or no tortilla and serve over slaw and swap out the peanut butter for almond or sun butter, and coconut Aminos for the soy sauce.
THURSDAY:Butternut Squash Noodles with Sausage and Kale
> This is such a good combo and I had a hard time finding the exact recipe but I’ll go off of this one and hopefully create my own soon.
FRIDAY: Cauliflower + Chickpea Golden Stew
